Stephen Doucette graduated from Suffolk University and Suffolk University Law School. After serving four years in the United States Navy as a member of the Judge Advocate General’s Corps, Steve returned to Massachusetts and worked in Boston defending major corporations such as General Motors, Ford Motor Company, Amtrak and Conrail. In 1989 Steve joined Massachusetts Electric Company’s in-house legal staff and represented the company in hundreds of serious personal injury and property damage lawsuits. He was the lead attorney on numerous electrical contact accidents, wrongful death lawsuits and large property damage claims. In addition to the litigation matters, he represented Massachusetts Electric in its energy theft claims, OSHA matters and was the responsible attorney for prosecuting and defending DigSafe related property damage claims. Since 1989 Steve has been one of Massachusetts’ leading attorneys in the electric utility industry.
Steve continues to represent National Grid in a variety of legal matters. Steve also represents numerous municipal electric departments in Massachusetts on a variety of matters. Steve provides general legal advice on customer service matters, operational issues, easements, labor issues and general litigation support services.
Steve has over 30 years of experience trying cases before juries and judges. He continues to provide general civil litigation services for clients throughout central Massachusetts. Steve uses his extensive experience from representing large corporations to get the best results for his clients.
